夫祭之为物大矣,其(qi)兴(xing)物(wu)备矣(yi),顺(shun)以备者也,其(qi)教(jiao)之本与?是(shi)故,君子之教 也,外(wai)则教之以尊其君(jun1)长,内则教之以孝于其(qi)亲。是故,明(ming)君(jun1)在上(shang),则诸(zhu)臣服从(cong), 崇事宗庙社稷,则子孙顺(shun)孝。尽其道(dao),端其义,而教生焉。是(shi)故(gu)君(jun1)子之事君(jun1)也, 必身(shen)行之(zhi),所(suo)不(bu)安于上,则不以使下;所恶于下,则不(bu)以事上;非诸人(ren),行诸己, 非教之道也。是故(gu)君(jun1)子之(zhi)教也,必由其本(ben),顺(shun)之至(zhi)也(ye),祭其是与(yu)?故曰:"祭者, 孝(xiao)之本(ben)也已。"
