"大哉(zai)圣人(ren)之(zhi)道!洋洋乎发育(yu)万物(wu),峻极于天。优(you)优大哉!礼仪三百,威仪三千,待其人然后行。故曰(yue):苟不至德(de),至(zhi)道不(bu)凝焉。故君(jun1)子尊(zun)德性(xing)而(er)道问(wen)学,致广(guang)大而尽精微,极高明而道(dao)中庸;温故而知新,敦(dun)厚以崇礼。是(shi)故居上不骄,为(wei)下(xia)不(bu)倍;国有道,其(qi)言足(zu)以(yi)兴(xing);国(guo)无道,其(qi)默足(zu)以容。《诗》曰:''既明且哲,以保其(qi)身。''其此(ci)之(zhi)谓与(yu)!"子(zi)曰:"愚而好自用,贱而好自专;生(sheng)乎今之(zhi)世,反古(gu)之道。如(ru)此者,及其(qi)身者也。"非(fei)天子,不议礼,不制度,不考文。今(jin)天(tian)下车(che)同轨(gui),书(shu)同文(wen),行同伦。虽有(you)其位(wei),苟无(wu)其德(de),不敢作礼乐焉;虽有其(qi)德,苟无其位,亦不敢作礼乐焉。
