空(kong)空道人听如(ru)此说,思忖(cun)半晌,将《石头记》再检(jian)阅一遍,因见上面虽有些指奸责佞贬恶诛邪之语,亦(yi)非伤时骂世之旨,及至(zhi)君仁臣良父(fu)慈(ci)子孝,凡伦(lun)常所关之处,皆是称(cheng)功颂(song)德,眷眷(juan)无穷,实非别书之(zhi)可(ke)比(bi).虽(sui)其中大旨谈情,亦不过实(shi)录其(qi)事,又非假拟妄(wang)称(cheng),一味淫(yin)邀(yao)艳(yan)约(yue),私(si)订偷盟之(zhi)可(ke)比(bi).因毫不干涉时世,方(fang)从头至尾抄录回来,问(wen)世传(chuan)奇.从此空(kong)空道人因空见色(se),由色生情,传(chuan)情(qing)入色,自色悟空(kong),遂(sui)易名为情僧(seng),改《石头记》为《情僧(seng)录》.东(dong)鲁(lu)孔(kong)梅溪(xi)则题曰《风月(yue)宝(bao)鉴》.后因曹雪芹于悼红(hong)轩中披阅(yue)十载,增删(shan)五次,纂成(cheng)目录,分(fen)出章回(hui),则(ze)题曰(yue)《金陵十(shi)二钗》.并题一绝云:
